Scanning does not start

Check that Detrivo has access to the photos, videos, or folder you want to scan. You can change access in your device settings. On iPhone or iPad, limited photo access means Detrivo can scan only the items you selected.

The scan is taking longer than expected

Large libraries, videos, slower storage, and cloud-managed files can take longer to compare. Keep Detrivo open and your device charged. Progress and remaining time are estimates.

No duplicates were found

Detrivo confirms exact copies by file fingerprint. Similar-looking photos, edited copies, compressed videos, or files with different contents are not counted as exact duplicates.

Deleting duplicates

Detrivo never deletes automatically. Review a duplicate group, select the copies you no longer need, and confirm deletion. Your operating system may ask for an additional confirmation. Keep backups of important files.

Notifications

You can turn duplicate alerts on or off inside Detrivo and in device settings. Background checks are best-effort; Android and iOS decide whether and when they run.

Purchases and restoration

If Detrivo Pro is available, purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Use Restore Purchase while signed in to the same store account that made the purchase. Refund requests are handled under the applicable store’s policies.
